CUET Cut Off
The CUET UG cut off means the minimum marks or percentile that students need to achieve to take admission in the respective university/college. The CUET UG cutoff is released at the university level, i.e. every university releases its own cut off for admission. There are no centralized cutoff criteria in CUET, which is why students must stay in touch with the official website of the participating universities to know about their counselling dates. The CUET cut-off will vary depending upon the number of seats available in the particular university and the category of student.
CUET Cut Off 2026
The CUET participating universities will declare the CUET UG cutoff 2026 on its official website(s). The CUET 2026 exam is expected to be held in May-June 2026. As per trends, for premier universities such as DU, BHU, JNU, and JMI, sought-after programs include B.Com (Hons), B.Sc. Computer Science and B.A. in Economics require a minimum score of 700. The cutoff for mid-range universities in CUET could range from 650 to 750. After the announcement of the CUET results, colleges and universities participating in CUET will release their individual CUET cutoff 2026 lists or merit lists. These cutoff lists can appear as marks, scores, or percentiles, differing according to the courses available via CUET, the universities, and the applicant categories.
Where to Check CUET Cut Off 2026 PDF?
The university-wise CUET 2026 cut-off is issued in the form of a notification PDF for all course and constituent colleges. Generally, the CUET results are announced in July and the CUET cut off based on the CUET scores starts to come out in the last week of July itself. The University of Delhi, BHU, Allahabad University, etc. begins their admission process by releasing the CUET cut off around 2 to 3 weeks after the result announcement. CUET Total Marks 2026
The overall score for CUET is based on the number of subjects you select and are permitted by the NTA. The application PDF states that you can select a maximum of 5 subjects from a total of 37 papers. Every CUET subject is worth 250 marks. Candidates were allowed to choose a maximum of five subjects from three sections: Section I (Languages), Section II (Domain Specific Subjects), and Section III (General Aptitude Test). The total maximum marks for CUET UG 2026 can reach 1250 if a candidate chooses five papers. The overall scores corresponding to subject selections, considering each subject carries 250 marks, are:

The University of Delhi (DU) is the first choice among all the CUET aspirants. The DU admission through CUET UG is highly competitive. Leading DU institutions such as Hindu College, Miranda House, Hansraj College, and SRCC are expected to maintain cut-offs ranging from 750 to 800 marks (out of 1000) for sought-after programs like B.A. (Hons) Economics, B.Com (Hons), and B.Sc (Hons) Physics.
Mid-level DU colleges such as Ramjas, Kirori Mal, Daulat Ram, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College could have cut-offs that fluctuate between 650 and 750 marks for different courses. Candidates achieving a score between 480-500 marks (60th percentile) are likely to stay competitive for DU CSAS admission rounds in less popular courses or colleges.
